One of Malaysia's most important asset is its human resource. It boasts of a well-educated workforce who are very adaptable to
training. The Terengganu State Government pays special emphasis to human resource development and has been spending more than 25% of its annual budget on Education and Training for the last 17
years complementing the Federal government's education and training programmes.The State has established and manages its own colleges and training institutions which include:
- Kusza University College
- Terengganu Advanced Technical Institute
- Terengganu Safety Training Centre
- Terengganu Skill Development Centre
- Terengganu Timber Industry Training Centre
- Terengganu Plastic Training Centre
These training facilities complement training institutions established by the Federal government in Terengganu which include the :
- University Putra Malaysia Of Terengganu
- Mara Institute of Technology
- Petronas Petroleum Training Centre
- Industrial Training Centre
- Polytechnics
Output from these training institutions total over 6000 per year
